Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Support Specialist to provide daily support services for clients with spinal cord injuries.
* Transfer Assistance: Assist clients with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, utilizing hoists when necessary.
* Patient Care: Provide personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management.
* Wound Management: Administer basic wound care and assist with self-medication.
* Domestic Support: Offer assistance with meal preparation, light household duties, and laundry.
* Community Access: Accompany clients to appointments and social activities using reliable transportation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in disability or aged care is not required; comprehensive training will be provided. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
