About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to step into a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment with real variety. With a salary of $90-95K, you\'ll take the lead in daily operations, functions, and events while guiding and supporting a large team. Ideal for a chef who thrives in busy service, enjoys the challenge of catering to diverse outlets, and wants stability with a respected employer.
Position Description
* Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple outlets
* Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen hands
* Deliver high-quality food for both daily service and large functions/events
* Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings
* Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards
* Take full responsibility for the kitchen when required
Position Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior CDP in a high-volume venue
* Strong functions and events catering experience is essential
* Ability to manage and lead kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work split shifts, weekends, and varied rosters
* Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
* Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
