What You'll Do
As a FIFO Fixed Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of vital fixed plant equipment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing crushing circuits, including shoots, conveyors, and screens to ensure smooth material processing
Operating and overseeing wet plant processes
Maintaining field belts and ensuring high standards of plant housekeeping
Performing basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve minor issues promptly
Conducting routine maintenance tasks to support continuous operations
Required Skills
C-Class Manual Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
Valid High-Risk Work Licence with certifications in Forklift operation (FL), Confined Space Entry, and Working at Heights (valid within 2 years)
Proven experience operating fixed plant equipment in a mining environment
Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance tasks efficiently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with additional plant equipment or automation systems
Previous FIFO experience in a mining or industrial setting
Certifications in first aid or safety management
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience operating fixed plant equipment in a similar environment
Other Requirements
Flexibility to work on an 8/6 then 7/7 FIFO roster
Ability to pass background checks and medical assessments
Willingness to work in remote locations with strict safety and health regulations
