About Us
MS Fabrications QLD Pty Ltd is a locally owned, family-operated fabrication business based in Bohle, Townsville. We specialise in fabrication, maintenance, and repairs across fixed and mobile plant for local industry. As our workload continues to grow, we are looking to bring on a motivated Apprentice Boilermaker to join our team.
This opportunity is open to new apprentices or 1st year, 2nd and 3rd year apprentices who are keen to learn, work hard, and build a long-term career in the trade.
About the Role
You will work alongside experienced tradesmen assisting with fabrication, repairs, and maintenance work on a variety of equipment and projects. This role offers the chance to develop strong practical skills in a busy workshop and on-site environment.
As you progress through your apprenticeship, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with fabrication, repairs, and maintenance on fixed and mobile plant
* Working on conveyors, crushers, screens, and general steel fabrication
* Operating tools and equipment under supervision
* Assisting tradesmen with workshop and site-based work
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Learning welding, fabrication, and fitting skills as part of your trade development
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Wants to start an apprenticeship or currently completing a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Boilermaker apprenticeship
* Has a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Works well in a team environment
* Has good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Is reliable and takes pride in their work
Requirements
* Ability to work Monday to Friday with occasional overtime or weekend work when required
* Own transport or lift to and from work
* Willingness to travel occasionally for site work
* Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening if required
* Must have full Australian working rights
