Steritech is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician on a permanent, full-time basis, to help us keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
* Lead and perform day-to-day maintenance tasks on plant, site, and equipment
* Respond to breakdowns and participate in the after-hours call-out roster
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
* Maintain, source, and procure spare parts and tools as needed
* Schedule and plan maintenance works with operational teams to minimise downtime
* Monitor and improve preventive maintenance programs
* Support inspections, compliance, and facilities maintenance
* Train team members in basic maintenance tasks and promote internal capability
* Uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
* Current Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence
* Proven experience in a maintenance or technician role (e.g. fitter/turner)
* Strong knowledge of plant infrastructure and industrial equipment
* Practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail
* Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with teams and contractors
* Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar field
* Electrician Grade A licence
* Welding skills
* QAP Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience in EtO/Gamma Irradiation environments or other highly regulated industries such as medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
