Maltem Australia is supporting a major energy trading client in ANZ undergoing a large-scale transformation of its Front-to-Back trading and Finance systems.
The platform covers trading, physical power, PPA management, asset management and C&I activities across Australia. As part of an ongoing transformation program (including trading platforms, ERP and CRM tools), the IS team is strengthening its FINOPS production support capabilities.
The role operates within a Follow-the-Sun (FTS) model across APAC and Europe.
Your Mission
As an IT FINOPS Support Analyst, you will ensure stability, reliability and continuous improvement of the Finance application ecosystem supporting trading operations.
You will act as a key interface between business users, international support teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Production Monitoring & Operational Excellence
* Monitor global IT platforms (services, batches, integrations).
* Analyse, resolve and document incidents.
* Coordinate with offshore teams when escalation is required.
* Maintain and enhance monitoring tools and processes.
* Contribute to operational procedures documentation.
* Support release follow-up and adapt monitoring accordingly.
* Participate in the Follow-the-Sun operating model.
Finance Application Support
Support core Finance applications including:
* Deal Capture
* Invoicing
* Margin Calls
* Accounting / ERP tools
Responsibilities include:
* Processing user support requests and configurations.
* Gathering feedback on system performance and run quality.
* Contributing to automation and scripting initiatives.
* Enrich and prioritise backlog of recurring incidents.
* Strengthen system knowledge across the IT landscape.
* Share optimisation ideas with Business Analysts and stakeholders.
Profile & Experience
Education
* Degree in IT Engineering, Finance or equivalent.
Functional Knowledge
* Trading and/or accounting processes.
* Exposure to commodities or derivatives (advantageous).
Technical Skills
* Application support in live production environments.
* SQL.
* Scripting.
* Finance / accounting systems knowledge.
Nice to Have:
* Basic development knowledge (C#).
