GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to provide tailored learning, guidance, and support for students with a range of additional needs for schools in Wakefield (WF4). This is a role for someone passionate about helping learners achieve their full potential and develop confidence in the classroom.
Your Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEN
* Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to individual needs
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and SEN coordinators
* Provide a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
* Support social, emotional, and academic development
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
What We're Looking For in a SEN Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching SEN or working with students with additional needs
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Empathy, patience, and a flexible approach to learning
* Professional, reflective, and student-focused attitude
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
