About Us
We provide specialist mental health services to the residents of Rockhampton area, working collaboratively with adult mental health teams and other service providers to reduce symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit delivers direct care to consumers, ensuring clinical care is evidence-based and consumer rights are upheld. Effective communication and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, consumers, and visitors promote a consumer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing individual needs and coordinating with the treatment team.
* Enhance patient outcomes through effective communication, education, and support.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring seamless integration across inpatient and community settings.
* Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, empathy, and respect within the team.
* Identify and mitigate risks to patients, staff, and the organization, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Current nursing registration with AHPRA, reflecting your commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise.
* Experience in mental health services, ideally with a focus on person-centred care and collaborative practice.
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge, underpinned by a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes.
* A strong sense of teamwork and decision-making, coupled with the ability to empathize with patients, carers, and colleagues alike.
