We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. You will be dedicated to culinaryarts and eager to contribute to an extraordinary dining experience. As part of our team, you willcollaborate with our manager to design and implement menu, and assist in the overall operation.
Responsibilities:
· Cooking to orders by applying different cooking methods and techniques
· Preparing and seasoning a range of ingredients for various dishes
· Following recipes and portion controls, and adjusting to customers’ requirements wherenecessary
· Monitoring cooking and refrigeration equipment temperatures
· Assisting in planning current menus and developing special dishes
· Checking the daily preparation list at the start of each shift to ensure ingredients and productsare sufficient for service
· Providing support in managing storage, procurement, and stock rotation to maintain foodquality and minimize waste
· Assisting in cleaning and organisation of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage area
· Ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and food quality regulations and standards
· Support the training of junior kitchen staff and ensuring proper kitchen procedures are followed
Required Qualification and Experience
· At least 1 year experience as a Cook
· Certificate IV in Cookery or equivalent qualification preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills
· Experience with Japanese cuisine is essential
· Proficiency in cutting and cooking techniques and principles
· Strong abilities to work as a team member
· Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
· Possess effective communication skills
