Hays is partnering with Tradezone Pty Ltd, Australia's fastest-growing electrical wholesaler and part of the Kingston Group, a respected family-owned business. Tradezone operates a national network of modern distribution facilities and is recognised for its innovation, scale and continued growth within the electrical wholesale sector.
Due to ongoing internal growth, Tradezone is expanding its national Finance team and is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the business at its Head Office in Helensvale on the Gold Coast. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a high-growth, distribution-led organisation.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of Tradezone's purchasing, supplier management and forecasting capability, playing a key role in supporting the business's continued national expansion.
This role is strategic in nature and will suit a commercially focused purchasing leader rather than a transactional buyer. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to balance strategy and execution, ensuring purchasing decisions support cost control, availability and long-term scalability.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading demand forecasting in a high-growth environment.
* Developing and executing supplier strategy, negotiation and rationalisation initiatives.
* Managing cost control while maintaining and strengthening long-term supplier relationships.
* Improving purchasing visibility, discipline and decision quality across the business.
* Managing working capital and supplier availability within a fast-moving distribution model.
* Providing commercial leadership and influencing decision-making across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience operating in a distribution, wholesale or hybrid supply chain environment. You will be comfortable working in a growth-focused business and influencing at a senior level.
You will also bring:
* Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain leadership roles.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across functions.
* A proactive, can-do approach and confidence managing ambiguity and change.
* A leadership mindset with the ability to lift commercial capability across the business.
