We have a number of exciting opportunities for Graduate Rehabilitation Counsellors and Provisional Psychologists to join our teams across North Queensland, with roles available in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Gladstone.

Your Graduate Pathway to Success

Our 12‐month Graduate Program is your stepping stone to a rewarding career as a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, and a permanent role at KINNECT.

You'll develop the skills to:

* Assess clients' cognitive, psychological, psychosocial and vocational functioning to identify barriers to return to work
* Develop individualised rehabilitation plans alongside medical professionals, employers and insurers
* Deliver evidence‐based interventions including CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and stress management
* Provide adjustment‐to‐injury counselling and help clients build effective coping strategies
* Identify new employment goals through vocational counselling and assessment, and support job‐seeking aligned to capacity and local labour market
* Monitor progress and adjust strategies to achieve successful return‐to‐work outcomes
* Maintain accurate documentation aligned to professional and regulatory standards

Program Structure & Support

For everyone in the program:

* Mentorship from an experienced practitioner in your discipline
* Professional Development through structured PD activities, workshops and tailored training
* Cross‐Disciplinary Collaboration with OTs, rehab counsellors, physios, exercise physiologists and psychologists
* Cohort Learning via internal forums, shadowing and peer sessions across our national network
* Personalised Learning to align development with your interests and goals

Additional support for Provisional Psychologists (5+1 Internship):

* External Supervision arranged and funded by KINNECT through our 5+1 college partner (covered under the program's retention terms)
* National Psychology Exam preparation resources and study support
* PD coordination to keep you on track
* Logbooks & Case Studies support with templates and review checkpoints
* Day‐to‐day leadership from your Team Manager, alongside your external supervisor

Who Should Apply

* Provisional or fully qualified Psychologist: hold or eligible for AHPRA registration
* Rehabilitation Counsellor: hold or eligible for ASORC (Full) or RCCAA (Full) by commencement
* Passionate about Workplace Rehabilitation and making a meaningful impact
* A strong communicator who thrives in a multidisciplinary team
* The holder of a full, valid Australian driver's licence
* Bonus: prior experience in vocational counselling, employment services or workplace rehabilitation
