**Job description**:
**The Opportunity**
On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an **APS6 Project Officer**. This is a 12-month assignment based in Geelong. The role will work a hybrid arrangement, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day and will be paying $60.26 per hour plus super.
Working in the Home and Living Innovation Branch, the Project Officer will work to identify, test and evaluate new and improved ways of designing and delivering home and living supports through the implementation of home and living demonstration projects.
**Responsibilities include;**
- Developing and managing project plans for jurisdictional governance meetings
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports, including on relevant governance activities.
- Coordinating regular governance project reporting including status updates.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Maintaining the register of actions, issues and risks arising from trilateral forums and prepare progress reports for the senior executive.
**To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;**
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience working within a compliance and regulatory framework.
- Highly developed communication skills - including written communications
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the National Construction Code will be highly desirable
- Experience in the preparation of briefs and ministerial correspondence.
