About the Role
MSS Security is seeking full‐time reliever security officers to join our team at the University of Melbourne. You'll work as part of a dedicated, customer‐focused team, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors, conducting regular foot patrols across the campus, and providing assistance where needed in a dynamic, active and professional environment.
Key Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Conduct regular foot patrols across the campus, primarily outdoors
* Assist visitors with directions and navigation, including escorting them across the campus if required
* Ensure that campus property is securely locked and unlocked as necessary
* Write detailed reports in response to incidents
* Communicate clearly and calmly with stakeholders across the University
Requirements:
* Full Australian Working Rights
* Current Victorian Security Licence
* Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
* Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
* Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
* Able to comfortably walk distances of 15-25km over the course of a 12‐hour shift
* Strong ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports
