Your responsibilities
- Assess development applications through the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA).
- Contribute to and support whole of government involvement and input on matters of State and/or regional significance into local government plans, statutory and other land use planning processes.
- Interpret and implement Planning Act legislation regulations, and guidelines relating to work area policies and functions.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external clients on local, statutory and regional planning issues.
- Prepare written correspondence, submissions, briefs and reports on land use planning issues and initiatives.
- Undertake research, analysis and problem solving.
- Work in a flexible, multi-disciplinary team managing projects and fostering a positive team environment.
- Represent the Department, as appropriate, at industry/stakeholders' events, meetings and working groups in an effective and professional manner.
