About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to be based at our site in Fisherman Island and report to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role oversees the effective deployment of maintenance resources to Southern Cross Cement (Fisherman Islands) and Queensland Commodity Exports (Woodchip terminal), while providing ad‐hoc support to the Brisbane Ports Maintenance team.
* Manage, coordinate and lead contractor management
* Lead and coach the maintenance team to ensure safety, operational effectiveness, promote values and continuous improvement, manage risk, and ensure timely work execution
* Relief of Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Planners during leave as required; ensure high‐level and consistent SAP Quality and feedback to planners
* Manage and approve Maintenance Notifications
* Provide technical support in breakdowns and be available on call for Southern Cross Cement shipping/unloading
* Assist with the administration for SCC and QCE
* Attend client meetings (SCC & QCE)
* Coordinate work fronts with contractors and clients when plant is available
* Confirm all works have been completed to acceptable quality
* Confirm invoices before goods receipting purchase orders
* Fault find Mech/Elec/PLC issues on site and advise client and contractors
* Confirm daily worksheets have been issued and completed
* Review daily worksheets SAP and MEX daily
* Track invoices to confirm the correct WO and PO has been used
* Maintain and monitor the SAP/MEX system supporting maintenance
About your experience
* Trade Certificate in a relevant discipline such as electrical or fitter/machinist
* Commitment to safety
* Experience with SAP / MEX maintenance module
* MS Excel skills and experience
* Experience in Contractor Management
* Quality assurance/checks of works completed by contractors
* Experience within a technical or centralised function
* High level customer service focus
* Strong leadership skills and qualitiesSelf‐motivated and driven to succeed
* Ability to work under pressure and be resilient
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong focus on continuous improvement and collaboration
