You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of an enterprise-grade API platform, building scalable microservices in AWS and ensuring backend systems are secure, performant and reliable.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of their API platform.
Build and maintain scalable, modular microservices in AWS
Optimise backend systems for speed, reliability, and compliance.
Mentor developers and improve workflows, CI/CD, and best practices.
Stay up to date with new technologies and guide their adoption
Drive innovation, including integrating AI capabilities into the platform.
What you'll bring: Strong backend engineering experience in Python (Nice to have Go, Java or similar languages)
Proven experience with APIs, microservices and secure integrations
Knowledge of authentication/authorisation standards (OAuth2)
Passionate and driven with previous experience of designing and scaling complex applications
Solid AWS/cloud architecture experience
