Based in the Adelaide Central Market, the Smelly Cheese Shop Assistant Manager will be required to lead, coach and direct the day-to-day sales activities of the team in our Central Market retail store. They will be responsible for ensuring that customer partnerships are established and maintained and be ambassadors for this iconic SA brand.
They will be responsible for successfully managing the Adelaide Central Market store and associated events.
Key Responsibilities Ensure sales and wage targets are met Support and develop teams in the day-to-day operation Recruitment and people management Maintain the store's visual appeal Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met Manage inventory, ensure products are stocked appropriately and product rotation is maintained Assist in the management of the activity of the online store Maintain a dynamic wine selection - ensuring profitability targets and legal requirements are met Assist with executing the events calendar - managing weekly events at the Adelaide Central Markets & offsite as required. Key Requirements Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a food &/or beverage related environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience with wine list management is desired Ability to analyse sales performance to identify insight and opportunity Ability to manage stock levels, always ensuring quality targets are met Experience in leading/mentoring a team Energetic, positive and motivated disposition RSA Certificate Thank you in advance for your application.
