Our client, a well-reputed bakery located in Port Augusta, South Australia is looking for an enthusiastic and skillful baker to join this expanding and innovative business on a full-time basis.
You must have proven experience in baking or retail industry as well as minimum formal training and qualifications in the trade.
You will be responsible to ensure products reach the consumer at the highest possible standards, and will also be able to demonstrate your creative talents by having the opportunity to be involved in product development.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork and knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations are essential.
Your Duties:
Prepare dough and pastry
Kneading and proving of bread dough
Forming bread and other pastry products
Ensure the correct temperature of the oven
Bake bread and cook pastries and other products
Prepare fillings for cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as required
Fill and decorate cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as required
Co-ordinate of preparation, forming and baking of products according to demand
Quality control of products
Stock control as required
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area
Ensure the safety of the kitchen
Personal Requirements:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years or
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
A high level of personal cleanliness
Able to plan time and work under pressure
Understand OH&S in a kitchen environment
Able to stay calm in difficult situations
Able to work well in a team
In return, we will offer great working conditions, flexible hours (subject to business requirements).
This is a full-time position with excellent annual salary of $75,000-$85,000 +Superannuation.
