TeamHEALTH delivers a range of supports for adults, including increased opportunities of recovery for people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness to remain living independently in the community. The aim is to support recovery, reduce social isolation and improve employment outcomes. Using a strengths-based approach, and providing intensive one-to-one support, the service delivery provides:
* access to appropriate support services at the right time;
* personal capacity, confidence and self-reliance;
* increased social and community participation, and;
* the ability to manage daily activities
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Coordinator provides leadership and day to day management of the Adult Supports team, which includes our Recovery Assistance Program and Psychological Support Program. The Coordinator plays a key role in supporting, coaching and training Mental Health Recovery Workers and Wellbeing Workers located in Darwin to build capacity and capabilities in the provision of a strength based, psychosocial rehabilitation framework, with a focus on the areas of living, learning, working and socialising.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Tertiary or Diploma level qualification in a relevant health or welfare discipline.
* Demonstrated skills and application of delivering strength-based strategies, recovery model and psychosocial rehabilitation.
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness and psychiatric disability in a community setting.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders including community members, community services and government departments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop staff to ensure they perform and reach their full potential
