The Position
Working and living in the central WA Wheatbelt region really is the dream As a Rural Generalist you will be providing unique general practice/primary health care to the local communities as well as servicing the emergency care for 2 rural communities on a weekly or fortnightly basis – the choice is yours You will also have the opportunity to perform outreach to 3 other small towns in the area. What a great job to provide health care with your passion and medical experience while exploring the towns at the same time. Despite the remote work you will be part of a great collegial multi-disciplinary team servicing more than 10 communities in the region ensuring they have a 'system of care' that is aligned to community needs.
* 70% Mixed billings | Salaried role considered

* Fortnightly outreach clinics to 3 small towns in the same shire
* Optional Merredin or Northam ED roster participation once a week/fortnight that suits your scope of practice – $2,400 per shift + extra VMP payments for after‑hours calls or visits
* Boost income by $50k with hospital coverage
* Excellent annual rural incentives from WACHS, WIP and CHI up to $85k for RA4 location
* Opportunity for additional incentives for supervision of medical students
* Patient transport out if required via St John / RFDS

The Location
Nice small country town with a warm and friendly farming community tucked nicely in the Wheatbelt region less than 3 hours from East of Perth in the Shire of Trayning.
* Rural GP training program eligible location (DPA/MMM6) – FSP, ACRRM, RGTS & RVTS
* Great spot for PGY4+ Hospital Medical Officers to transition into General Practice or Rural Generalist pathways
* Also eligible location for AHPRA Expedited Specialist Pathway applicants from the UK, Ireland and New Zealand with GP plus rural hospital experience and emergency skills
* MM6/RA4 – Moratorium scaling 50%; reduction of 5 years
* Opportunity to do a 4‑day week and travel back to Perth for the long weekend
