Right now we are seeking a Cook with a passion for food, a desire to learn and the ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated kitchen team. Experience in Italian cuisine is highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present a range of Italian dishes to a consistently high standard
* Contribute to day-to-day kitchen operations across relevant sections
Tasks:
* Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* Assist with food preparation and coordinate with the Head Chef as required
* Adapt dishes to meet dietary requirements where necessary
* Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
* Check quality of raw ingredients and materials
* Ensure kitchen equipment is clean and operating correctly prior to use
* Receive, store and rotate stock in line with food safety requirements
* Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Requirements:
* Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Cookery
* Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in Italian cuisine
