Your team
You'll be joining the Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO), who help enable drive data-driven decision making across Hollard. You will be surrounded by data professionals that strive for excellency and data best practices to realise business value. Your role
This role will actively build on Hollard's Data Platform and see you developing and maintaining the Enterprise Data Model guided by industry data standard and following regulatory requirements.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the design and documentation of conceptual, logical and physical data model solutions for the Hollard Data Platform and Consumption Layer, including relational, dimensional, and data lake structures. The solutions will support enterprise information management, business intelligence, analytics, real-time data sharing and other business requirements.
Your duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Enterprise Data Architecture Lead, the key focus areas will be:
* Responsible for the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platform. STAR STAR Schema and 3NF modelling knowledge is desirable.
* Responsible for the source-to-target mapping and maintaining related documentation.
* Engage business users and SME's to understand data requirements and translate those requirements into design.
* Enhance and own the Enterprise Data Model defining key data domains and sub-domains, establishing definitions and maintaining versioning.
* Review the business process and conceptualize the entities into the data model that interoperate within the business process.
* Define and govern data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models
About You
* Demonstrated experience on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols). .
* Hands on experience modelling for ODS data lakes, data warehouse, data marts, and enterprise big data platforms is required.
* Good knowledge of metadata management, data modelling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.
* Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
* Knowledge of insurance industry standard ACORD model is a plus.
