Job Title: Brief Intervention Clinician
The role of a Brief Intervention Clinician is to deliver quality psychosocial assessments, low-intensity brief intervention treatments and evaluations. This position involves working as a member of the clinical team in providing comprehensive mental health assessments, case coordination, interventions or group work as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver quality psychosocial assessment, low-intensity brief intervention treatment and evaluation
* Brief Intervention Model of care; up to 6 sessions for mild-moderate, short term, goal orientated focused psychological therapy and generalist counselling.
* Participate as a member of the clinical team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case coordination, intervention or group work as required; with specific responsibility to provide Brief Interventions

Requirements:
* Must have one of the following: General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
* Demonstrated a comprehensive level of knowledge, expertise and skill; specifically, Brief Intervention Models of Care Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in a continuous learning environment
* Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
* Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
* Ideally demonstrated experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and support
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
* Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
* Demonstrated skills in organisation and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
* Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
