The Opportunity - About the Role We have an opportunity for a Development Manager – Housing Affordability to join our Develop to Core Team to support the delivery of our Single Family Built to Rent Program (SF BtR) and Affordable Housing initiatives in line with Stockland’s Residential Rental Strategy as endorsed by the Board. You will join a growing business unit and work on exciting new initiatives for SF BtR and Affordable Housing. This role will see you working across the Stockland portfolio nationally, you will be involved in the establishment of capital partnering activities, delivery of commercial opportunities and supporting engagement activities with various external stakeholders including government. This is your chance to be part of a high performing multi-disciplinary team, driving strategy and managing key relationships that are crucial to our success. This role is based from our Melbourne Head Office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Oversee the delivery of projects from origination, delivery, and operational handover and commencement Drive the co-ordination between the enterprise and functional teams to deliver strong investment propositions for business endorsement. Coordinate the monitoring of market and competitor activity in relation the direction and performance of the project(s) and best practice Undertake financial modelling on single and portfolios of assets Prepare presentations and board papers Coordinate due diligence with advisors and consultants Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder Monitor key policy changes and initiatives in relation to the BtR and social and affordable housing sector Actively engage with key external stakeholders to support Stocklands role in the delivery of affordable housing Ensure compliance with HS&E plans. Support the establishment of systems and processes aligned to new Housing Affordability operating model Manage/implement Residential Sustainability Policy at a project level and role modelling Stockland's continued commitment to and leadership in sustainability to all stakeholders. About You We are looking for an experienced manager potentially coming from a Property Group or Advisory firm. You will have had solid experience in property across development, transaction, advisory and ideally have exposure to social and affordable housing and the commercial models typically used within the sector. In summary, you will have: Experience in property, development, transactions or advisory. Strong commercial and financial skills. Advanced analytical, modelling, and numerical skills. Proven ability to influence and build relationships. Strong project management skills. Attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
