**The Opportunity**:Based at Wacol the Trades Assistant/Store person is to work closely with the service team to carry out consumable purchasing, receiving, storage. It will also undertake storage and despatch of parts and tooling for the Branch ensuring the technical team and customers receive the correct goods as ordered in a well-presented condition and within a timely and efficient manner.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Ensuring all aspects of the Parts supply process is performed efficiently and effectively through:
- Diligent inspection of all inwards goods to ensure accuracy of received stock quantities and any damage is reported to the immediate supervisor for actioning with the freight company.
- Maintain tooling and asset compliance.
- Ensure maintenance and repairs of workshop tooling and assets is kept to a high standard
- Ensure the efficient and timely dispatch and receiving of tooling.
- Diligently manage the purchasing of consumables and PPE, with balanced focus of cost and quality of goods.
- Assist workshop team in facilitating workshop and audits and subsequent remediation where required.
- Assist team in local pick-up as required.
- Trade technical assistance as required.
- Accurate receipting of all stock and put away in the correct location
- Efficient picking, packing, despatching and recording of shipments of parts and other goods to both Customers and Komatsu Departments.
- Securely pack parts and goods to prevent damages in transit.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy Warehouse following the 5s and Feel Safety principles.
- Assisting with cyclical and/or full stock takes.
- Ensuring all required paperwork is completed, processed and filed correctly in an accurate and timely manner for any parts or goods entering or exiting the Warehouse.
- Liaising with transport companies to arrange cost effective delivery of parts to Customers and Komatsu Departments ensuring the consignment notes have been completed correctly in a legible manner.
- Making sure any returned items are in good condition and authorisation has been obtained before the good are accepted before a credit is issued and stock on hand correction is made.
- Advising Supervisor of any issues or concerns regarding incorrectly identified goods, damaged parts, tooling and consumables that may be required.
- Having a thorough knowledge and/or willingness to learn the computerised Inventory Controls System, advising Supervisors of any issues that may be encountered and provide solutions where possible.
- Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally by:
- Ensuring all Customer parts orders are processed in a timely manner providing exceptional customer service using Komatsu's Customer Support Charter as the guiding principles for all business interactions.
- Assisting other employees including, Customer Support Reps, Parts Interpreters, Supervisors and Management on Parts related technical, logístical and procedural inquires where required.
- Being an active member of the team to assist with refining processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the day to day running of the workshop and store.

**What we are looking for**:
- Previous experience in store and warehouse operation / interpretation or warehouse environment in the construction or mining equipment Industry.
- Understanding of Inventory Management Systems and Inventory Management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an active team member and without supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work the hours required to meet the needs of the business
- Current car and forklift drivers licences.
- Current Doggers and or Crane licences
- Commitment to the principles of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment compliance.
- Experience working with set performance measures and defined KPI's.
