Contract Professional
About the role:
* We are seeking a skilled contract professional to manage key contractual relationships and performance outcomes between the company and its contractors/suppliers;
* To identify and create opportunities for cost reduction and value-adding in all agreements entered into on behalf of the organization;
* Leading negotiations and providing strategic input into the development, implementation and management of contracts;
* Development and ongoing management of key spend categories within an assigned contract portfolio per the organization's category management framework and policies/procedures;
* Liaising with key stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing review and development of category management strategies;
* Compiling agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations; and
* Managing contractor relationships with a view to minimising commercial risk.
About you:
* A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law or a related field is required;
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, resources and/or construction industries;
* A proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of goods, services and works contracts, including forming sourcing strategies, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing commercial management;
* Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite is essential;
* SAP Ariba and SAP MM experience is highly regarded;
* You must be able to effectively communicate and work with various stakeholders, including senior management, contractors and suppliers.
