Overview
We're delighted to be partnering on a retained basis with a national construction organisation to find an experienced HR Advisor to join their team, in a newly created role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, generalist HR professional looking to grow into an HR Business Partner role in the near future.
The Opportunity
As HR Advisor, you'll provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and compliance checks to employee relations and training coordination. You'll work closely with managers, employees, and HR leadership to support HR processes, system improvements, and continuous workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
* Full-cycle HR administration, including contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management
* Coordinate learning, development, and construction-specific training, ensuring compliance requirements are met
* Support HR systems, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
* Act as a trusted HR advisor for employees and managers, supporting performance management, investigations, and employee relations
* Liaise with payroll, finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth workforce operations
* Participate in HR projects, policy development, and organisational growth initiatives
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience as a HR Coordinator/Administrator, HR Advisor, HR Officer, or generalist HR role
* Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills
* Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* (Desirable) Experience in construction, engineering, or a related industry and knowledge of Australian employment legislation
