* This Department of General Medicine has six teams, namely; Med A, B, C, D, team 3A. Each team consists of a Consultant, 1-2 Registrars and 1-2 Interns. Each alphabet team manages an average of 15 – 20 inpatients a day with an approximate 15 to 20 admissions a day through the Emergency Department. Team 3A is the Rapid assessment medical Unit (RAMU) for medical short-stay (up to 72 hours) inpatient unit.

UnitHospital at Night
Description Hospital at Night provides inpatient cover and admission afterhours 7 days a week. wards include medical and Surgical patients and also reviewing patients forward admission from ED
Model of care: RMOs first reporting line to Registrars with on-call consultants
5 to 6 RMOs on evenings: shifts 4pm to 11pm
2 RMOs covering nights: 10.30pm to 8.30am
Shift will need to work on an afterhours roster.
5 to 6 RMOs on evenings: shifts 4pm to 11pm (may be required to commence 1 hr early or 1hr at end of shift for an 8hr shift)
2 RMOs covering nights: 10.30pm to 8.30am
