Transform your career and make a lasting impact on the community with this exciting opportunity as an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse in a Transitional Nurse Practitioner role.

The role is located in the Drug and Alcohol Service of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, where you will work at the forefront of a dynamic workforce utilising innovative, evidence-based skills and interventions to professionally support people requesting assistance with alcohol and drug use.

This temporary 3-year position offers the chance to develop high-level clinical expertise while providing support to the D&A Service. You will be working towards your endorsed Nurse Practitioner qualification, which will enhance your career prospects.

About the Role:

This is a key position in our service, and we are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to take on the responsibilities of a Transitional Nurse Practitioner. Your strong leadership skills and ability to manage and care for clients will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* To provide leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice, utilising research in provision and development of education programs, clinical services planning and development of clinical practice standards.
* To manage and care for clients, utilising a model of care that is appropriate, timely and of high quality, governed by guidelines developed.
* To contribute to the ongoing development of the Drug and Alcohol Service, working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Requirements:

* Tertiary Qualifications at a master's degree level or working towards same
* Post graduate qualifications in drug and alcohol nursing and/or extensive work experience in drug and alcohol services
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence
* AHPRA Registration
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
