About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced OSHC Coordinator to lead the daily operations of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service for children in Foundation to Year 6. This key leadership role is responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of Before School, After School and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all children.
The OSHC Coordinator will provide pedagogical and operational leadership to a team of educators, ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), and build strong partnerships with children, families, school leadership and the broader community. The successful applicant will work alongside the current OSHC Director until the end of Term 2 to support a smooth transition. The coordinator will be required to work flexible hours in Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care with the support of an experienced team of OSHC Educators.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, implement and evaluate high-quality OSHC and Vacation Care programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework and National Quality Standards (NQS).
* Provide leadership, mentoring and support to OSHC educators, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
* Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all children and staff at all times.
* Maintain compliance with Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, service policies and school expectations.
* Manage administrative tasks including enrolments, staffing rosters, documentation, CCS processes and reporting.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan, policy reviews, and continuous service improvement.
* Support the service philosophy, child safeguarding practices and inclusive practice approaches.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and organised leader with a genuine passion for working with school-aged children. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, can manage competing priorities, and thrive in a dynamic OSHC environment.
You will have:
* Experience in OSHC, Vacation Care, early childhood or a similar education and care setting.
* Leadership or coordination experience (highly desirable).
* Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place and child safeguarding requirements.
* Excellent organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
* A collaborative, positive and flexible approach with the ability to lead a team and engage families and children.
Essential Clearances and Training
* ACECQA-approved qualification (minimum Diploma level).
* Current Working With Children Check.
* Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate.
* Approved First Aid qualification (HLTAID012 or equivalent), including anaphylaxis and asthma management.
* Current CPR certification.
* Ability to meet regulatory and school child safeguarding requirements.
