The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Procurement Advisor and Category Manager to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide expert procurement advice, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supply risk
Deliver end-to-end procurement support for high-value, high-risk contracts
Develop strategic procurement plans aligned with budgets and policies
Assist with annual procurement planning by consolidating divisional priorities
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
While not mandatory, it is expected that applicants will have relevant procurement experience including significant category planning, sourcing and contract management experience. The combination of relevant commercial and government procurement experience would be highly regarded.
While not mandatory, a relevant academic qualification and/or membership of a professional procurement body would also be highly regarded
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time (up to six months, with possibility for extension)
Base salary ranging from $5 214.20 - $5 595.80 per fortnight
