Are you passionate about helping people reach their full potential, building confidence and developing new skills to enhance their journey into the workforce? Our Transition to Work (TtW) program helps young people aged 15-24 into work (including apprenticeships and training) or education. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate person to inspire, support and guide young people in achieving their personal educational and career goals. You will work directly with youth to build confidence, develop life skills and encourage positive decision making. Transition to Work provides intensive, pre-employment support to develop practical skills to get a job, connect with education or training, find local job opportunities and connect with relevant local community services. You will also have the opportunity to deliver short-term personalised employment training and workshops to participants 45+. This role is Full time – Fixed term Contract until 30 June 2027.
Responsibilities
* Inspire, support and guide young people to achieve their personal educational and career goals.
* Deliver short-term personalised employment training and workshops to participants 45+.
* Provide intensive, pre-employment support to develop practical skills to get a job, connect with education or training, find local job opportunities and connect with relevant local community services.
* Build relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.
* Advocate on behalf of participants to referral services.
* Balance administration with participant engagement through exceptionally good time management.
* Work well in a small team to build creative solutions and achieve combined KPI targets.
* Utilise sound digital literacy across reporting software and Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel & Outlook).
Qualifications
* A genuine passion for youth development and empowerment.
* A genuine desire to assist participants to achieve their education and employment goals.
* The ability to deliver personalised employment training and workshops to participants 45+.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable, empathetic, and a positive role model.
* Understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the local cohort.
* Ability to advocate on behalf of participants to referral services.
* Build relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.
* Excellent time management to balance administration with participant engagement.
* Ability to work in a small team to build creative solutions and achieve KPI targets.
Role Details
* Employee package includes above award wages, monthly RDOs and salary packaging, and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
* A current driver's licence and car is required; a valid Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check may be required (or willingness to obtain).
