OVERVIEW

Praetorian Aeronautics is seeking a talented Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our cutting-edge development team. You will work on the design and implementation of a sophisticated software system aimed at the detection, tracking, and interception of drone swarms. This system will form part of our advanced planning software, which uses multi-agent reinforcement learning to orchestrate and control complex counter-UAS (C-UAS) missions.

If you are passionate about innovative technology, machine learning, and defence systems, and have a keen interest in working with AI-driven solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to real-world defence applications.

Key Responsibilities
:

* Working closely with expert AI researchers, support the creation in Python of multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithms and models for real-time mission planning and execution.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning algorithms and models into mission planning software.
* Develop and maintain Rust applications and services on Linux.
* Optimise and test software components to ensure robustness in real-world defence scenarios.

Required Qualifications
:

* 3+ years writing efficient, high-performance, system-level code.
* Software Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent.
* Proven ability in Rust and Python, with experience in contributing to the development and deployment of complex software systems.
* Experience in software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
:

* Experience with embedded Linux and writing cross-platform applications
* Experience with Nix
* Experience with autonomous vehicles
