About the Role
As an Economist (Manager), you'll take a lead role in our dynamic team, developing and nurturing essential client relationships, driving new opportunities, guiding small teams (1-5 members), and delivering outstanding results across various client projects. From shaping Australia's infrastructure future to supporting the energy transition and navigating global megatrends, you'll play a vital part in fostering trust in society and addressing pivotal community challenges. Together, we will forge lasting change and tackle significant societal issues.
You'll tackle complex challenges by:
Problem-solving: Formulating strategic business cases that drive informed decision-making.
Economic modelling: Undertaking advanced economic modelling to evaluate and predict outcomes.
Insightful reporting: Developing high-impact reports that deliver essential insights.
In our Consulting Team, your influence will be demonstrated through:
Cultivating trusted relationships with clients via innovative engagement and problem-solving strategies.
Mentoring and supporting team growth with in-depth economics, regulatory, and policy analysis expertise.
Overseeing and executing economic modelling (including Input-Output and Computable General Equilibrium modelling) to assess impacts on the community and economy-wide.
Converting data into strategic insights using cutting-edge tools like SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, QGIS, and Tableau.
Directing the creation of impactful reports, presentations, models, and other tools for a variety of private sector clients.
Ideally, you hold a degree with a specialisation in economics. Previous experience working with industry or government in a related field is highly preferred. You are passionate about driving change and working with others to address economic, community, and social issues with creative and effective solutions. You excel in a collaborative and dynamic environment, possess a natural talent for problem-solving, and are eager to join a firm that values reimagining the possible for its clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show genuine care for the people you work with.
