About the Role


Summerstar Tourist Parks is seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Management Couple for a long-term role at Geraldton Belair Gardens Caravan Park, located in Geraldton, Western Australia — just 250 metres from Pages Beach.

This is a rewarding opportunity to live and work in a well-established park within a vibrant regional coastal city, while being part of a supportive and experienced management team.

What You'll Be Doing


As Assistant Park Managers, you'll work closely with the Park Management Team, sharing responsibility across park operations, guest services, administration, and maintenance. Typically, one of you will have strengths in office and reception, while the other focuses on grounds and handy-person maintenance, though both roles are hands-on and flexible.


Park Operations & Guest Experience

* Supporting the day-to-day operation of the park, including after-hours response as required
* Assisting with park organisation, supervision, and smooth daily operations
* Ensuring a warm, safe, and welcoming experience for all guests
* Managing issues as they arise and delivering practical, guest-focused solutions
* Stepping into park management responsibilities during Manager leave, RDOs, or absences


Grounds & Maintenance

* Groundskeeping to maintain high presentation standards across the park
* Mowing, gardening, painting, cleaning, bin management, and general upkeep
* Pool and garden maintenance
* Assisting with stripping rooms and basic maintenance tasks
* Operating basic tools and equipment (training provided where required)


Reception, Admin & Housekeeping

* Reception and park shop duties
* Answering phones and greeting guests in person
* Processing reservations, deposits, check-ins and check-outs
* Accurately recording booking information and maintaining guest records
* Supporting housekeeping, amenities cleaning, laundry, and linen folding as needed

What We're Looking For



Essential Skills & Attributes

* Outstanding customer service and communication skills
* A positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork approach
* Practical handyman skills and solid office/reception capability (across the couple)
* Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Computer literate, with RMS or similar booking system experience preferred
* Caravan Park, tourism, roadhouse, or hospitality experience highly regarded
* Approved Manager's Ticket is an advantage, but not essential

These are genuinely hands-on roles. Both of you will be expected to personally undertake the full range of park tasks under the guidance of the on-site Park Management Couple and with support from a great team of casual staff.
