About the Position
In this full-time role, you'll report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a key role in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the mining and heavy industrial sectors.
This position offers a rewarding balance of office-based design and site based project management, where you'll apply your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges and manage project delivery from concept through to completion.
You'll have the opportunity to grow under the mentorship of senior and RPEQ engineers, guide junior engineers and develop your professional capabilities to define your career path.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
Lead mechanical engineering designs and deliver high quality pumping, piping and structural projects.
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, regulations, and industry best practices (AS1170, AS1418, AS1657, AS2033, AS4041, AS4024, AS4100, ASME B31 and more).
Utilise industry standard engineering design software and tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, SPACE GASS, Pipe Flow Expert, AutoPIPE, 3D scanning, etc).
Similar software experience is welcomed.
Perform engineering audits, inspections and design reviews, prepare reports and deliver technical presentations.
Manage all facets of project management from concept to completion, ensuring scope, budgets and deliverable schedules are met, and maintain professional communication with the client throughout the project.
Support and guide junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Participate in both onsite and office-based works throughout the project lifecycle, with opportunities to perform onsite works with high profile clients.
Collaborate with clients, vendors and internal teams to deliver quality outcomes.
Work alongside senior, principal and RPEQ engineers committed to continuously improving and delivering quality engineering services and solutions to our clients.
About You
You are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated experience in delivering high quality projects in the mining and heavy industrial sectors.
You bring a combination of strong technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills alongside the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both clients and colleagues.
You thrive in a role that balances hands-on design and project management, and take ownership of projects to ensure successful outcomes.
You enjoy getting out to visit client operations and value building long term client relationships, and are motivated to grow and progress in your career.
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), recognised by Engineers Australia.
Experience in mining, oil and gas and heavy industrial sectors, or similar industries.
Working towards or already obtained RPEQ status is highly regarded.
