Job Title: Compassionate Nursing Professional
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. As a compassionate nursing professional, you will deliver exceptional patient care and support our efforts in promoting better life outcomes for patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver best practice Radiation Oncology nursing services as part of a small team of nurses.
* Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
* Undertake direct patient care including education, wound management, and medication administration according to Practice Protocol.
* Effectively manage daily patient interactions and ensure all patient interactions are documented, communicated, and actioned.
* Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physicists, and radiation therapists.
* Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
* Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
* Use ISBAR communication tool for handover of patients and communication with allied health services along with documentation.
Requirements:
* A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* At least 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred).
* A background in oncology nursing is not essential but preferred.
* Training in radiation oncology nursing will be provided.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to applying best practice principles and quality improvement including the NSQHS.
* Commitment to continuing professional development.
* Experience in wound care management is an advantage.
