We’re currently seeking a Full Time Surgical Medical Receptionist to provide top-notch administrative support to our surgeons, ensuring seamless patient care. If you’re looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role:
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. The work will be over Monday - Friday.
As a key member of our team, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality service to our patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver exceptional customer service: Greet patients with a warm, welcoming attitude and assist with their needs.
* Manage appointments: Answer phone calls, emails, and handle patient bookings efficiently.
* Co-ordinate theatre bookings: manage bookings, provide surgical quotes and paperwork
* Liaise with healthcare professionals: Coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and health funds.
* Billing and administration: Process Medicare/DVA/WorkCover/TAC payments, manage patient accounts, and ensure accurate medical records.
* Prepare clinical equipment: Set up and sterilize instruments for consultations and surgeries.
* Ensure smooth operations: Provide support with patient reports, letters, and liaising with referring doctors.
What We’re Looking For:
* A warm, articulate communicator who excels at customer service and can put patients at ease.
* Someone with a proactive, flexible, and positive attitude who enjoys working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
* Prior experience in a medical clinic and surgical bookings is preferred but not essential—we’ll provide training for the right candidate.
* Proficiency with medical software (e.g., Genie) is a plus, but not required.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
