This role sits in the Financial Services division and provides planning and forecasting support to Technology which delivers the Group's information technology function to ensure the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation.
Technology Finance is responsible for the provision of financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division. We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their cost base and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans. Our mission is to "influence strategic outcomes through transparent insights and passionate people". Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team (approximately 90 people) and provides financial management, planning and controls to Group and Business Unit CIOs.
Your team's primary role is to:
- Provide financial information, analysis and advice to Technology and Group Finance
- Deliver annual business plans, monthly forecasts and financial modelling and advice to drive Technology's strategy and performance
- Provide accurate forecasting, effective management reporting and financial control for Technology spend
- Deliver meaningful insights to drive better business outcomes, including cost optimisation and process simplification
**Key duties will include**:
- Supporting the end-to-end co-ordination and delivery of the Technology annual business plan and monthly forecasts, including supporting analysis and insight, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and commercial relevance
- Deep dive analysis of key business drivers to drive Technology performance and strategy
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of high-quality presentations through analysis / insight for senior management (Technology Finance LT, Technology Group Executive, CFO & CEO)
- Assess investment and operational opportunities through the provision of financial advice, modelling, and insight
- Contributing to the enhancement of driver-based analytics and cost transparency within forecasting and reporting
- Assist the business to optimise their performance and forecasting, including continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying and escalating issues and ensuring appropriate risk management and financial control practices are in place
- Contribute to driving productivity and process improvements across the team's processes.

- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis
- Stakeholder management skills with proven experience in advising and influencing senior stakeholders and business outcomes
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of the financial services and / or technology industry, including technology developments that are impacting Financial Services
