In-House Corporate Lawyer (1st to 3rd Year PAE)

Our client is a globally recognised organisation with operations across Australia and New Zealand. Renowned for delivering market‑leading financial, property and consumer data solutions, the business supports a wide range of industries with trusted insights, analytics and business intelligence.
As part of the in‑house legal team of seven lawyers, you will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders to enable the business to continue operating at the forefront of its sector.
Responsibilities
This is a broad and genuinely commercial in‑house role. Responsibilities include:
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including major and non‑routine agreements
* Identifying and managing legal risks across contracts, operations and claims
* Providing guidance on legal, regulatory and governance matters affecting the business
* Designing and implementing legal compliance programs
* Developing processes and procedures to support efficient legal operations and mitigate organisational risk
* Researching legislation and regulatory developments and ensuring relevant teams are informed of changes
* Managing matters briefed to external lawyers and overseeing advice provided internally
* Supporting the development and retention of the organisation’s legal intellectual capital
About You
We are seeking expressions of interest from 1st to 3rd year PAE Lawyers trained in strong mid‑tier, top‑tier, international firms or high‑quality in‑house environments. This team is open to the usual commercial and corporate backgrounds, or more specialist backgrounds in employment law or litigation.
