About the Role
As the Team Leader Buildings and Facilities, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Council's building maintenance functions with occasional guidance on design and construction items.
You will lead the delivery of Building and Facilities maintenance, operational services, minor capital works and asset management programs, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. This role is critical in shaping the quality, sustainability and performance of Council's buildings and community infrastructure.
What You'll Deliver
* Leadership of building design, construction, maintenance and renewal programs
* Delivery of Council's building capital works and asset management strategies
* Effective contract and procurement management for building services
* Oversight of budgeting, financial performance and reporting
* Strong stakeholder engagement across Council, contractors and external agencies
* Continuous improvement of building services, standards and compliance practices
What You'll Bring
* Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Building Construction and Design or Project Management
* Registration and/or licences related to the field of this role (evidence of ongoing continuous professional development)
* Proven ability to lead teams and effectively manage contractors
* Strong financial acumen, with the ability to apply sound judgement to support and influence business decisions
* Willingness to undergo pre‐employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check
