Working with Boilermakers, Welders, Machinists, Fitters, NDT Technicians, other Trades Assistants and Support Staff.J&S is a tier 1 service provider to the mining sector and this is a great opportunity to grow valuable skills and knowledge across multiple processes within a well-equipped ISO9001 workshop.Role and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Trades Assistant plays a key role in supporting our trades team.
You will be hands-on in preparing equipment on arrival, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, organising and preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
You'll also assist tradespeople with day-to-day tasks, including basic tool handling, equipment checks, and general workshop duties.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build practical skills, learn directly from experienced tradespeople, and grow within a supportive team environment.
