Payroll Officer
As the Payroll Officer, you ensure team members are paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations. You will provide advice and support to internal customers and escalate complex matters as required to ensure queries are resolved promptly and in line with service levels.
This position is open to candidates located in Brisbane, offering flexibility to work from home two days a week.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, correctness, and timeliness.
2. Ensure all employee files are accurate and current to deliver correct payroll services.
3. Complete end-to-end payroll processing to ensure team members are paid for their contributions.
4. Perform end-of-month reporting, including payments to the ATO for group tax, super clearing house, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
5. Prepare and submit payments to third parties for employee pay deductions (e.g., child support, salary sacrifice).

To succeed in this role, you will have:
1. Experience in a full-function, fast-paced Payroll Officer role.
2. Strong skills and experience using MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and Word.
3. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
4. Knowledge of current legislation relevant to payroll.
5. Excellent communication, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
6. Familiarity with the iChris Payroll system is desirable.
