This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, ****
East Narrogin Primary School is located in the progressive regional centre of Narrogin in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 200 km south-east of Perth. The school provides primary education for Kindergarten to Year 6 students drawn from within the town and neighbouring areas. We promote a safe, inclusive learning environment focused on the wellbeing of each child. An Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) and a chaplain are integral members of the school community, working to strengthen links between families, the local community and the school.
Our school ensures that all students, regardless of ability or learning style, are supported to reach their full potential in a positive, supportive and engaging setting. We foster individual student interests, encourage active participation, and provide opportunities for students to apply knowledge and skills to real-life experiences and challenges.
The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programmes that help in the development of young minds. You will collaborate and work in a team environment, supporting classroom teachers and managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies. Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are essential for implementing individual or small-group programmes and for supporting the general health and wellbeing of students. You should be organised, self-motivated and able to maintain the learning environment.

Eligibility
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
