Position Overview
Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking passionate and qualified immunisation nurses to join our team of casual nurse immunisers. If you are a qualified Division 1 Registered Nurse with accredited immunisation endorsement as specified by Victorian Government Gazette – no. S518 – 3 October 2022, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver immunisation services at 8 public clinics per month for infants (0-4 years) and the general public, following the National Immunisation Program.
2. Visit secondary schools to provide scheduled vaccines to Year 7 and Year 10 students.
3. Administer seasonal flu vaccines to businesses and the general public.
4. Maintain accurate immunisation records and provide clinical advice regarding vaccination eligibility, catch-up plans, and post-vaccination care.
Qualifications and Skills
* Division 1 Registered Nurse with accredited immunisation endorsement.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to reassure anxious clients.
* Passion for providing quality clinical care to a diverse client base.
Additional Information
This casual position offers an hourly rate of $46.73 plus 25% casual loading, mostly around school hours. The role involves administrative duties and clinical service delivery in accordance with relevant guidelines and schedules.
