We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Team Leader to join our Finance team.
The Accounts Payable and Receivable Team Leader is primarily responsible for leading the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including managing AR duties such as processing aged trial balance debtors, reconciling accounts monthly, reporting on delinquent accounts, and coordinating billing across departments.
The Finance Operations Team Leader is accountable for team development, process improvements, supporting working capital management, and building relationships with key debtor customers to minimize payment issues and ensure timely payments.

Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide training, coaching, oversee AP and AR functions, identify process improvements, resolve operational issues, support team engagement.
- Receipting and debtor management: Collect and record payments, reconcile accounts, prepare reports, manage overdue accounts, liaise with debtors, report on delinquent accounts, assist with cash flow management.
- Billing: Process billing and credits, assist with monthly departmental billing.
- Administration: Maintain AR procedures, handle emails, meet month-end deadlines, support system testing and training, ensure compliance, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in AR or similar role
- Leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., D365)
- Strong understanding of AR processes and controls
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented
