Director Digital Solutions Delivery

Location Negotiable (subject to campus availability)

Full-time Permanent Opportunity

Total Remuneration Package $239,251 to $264,197

At TAFE NSW, we are dedicated to life-changing impact.

That’s why we offer world-class training and education that delivers the skills needed for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

Life-changing impact starts with an incredible team that sees their career as an opportunity to transform someone’s world. Whether that’s inspiring students, supporting each other, or helping our communities and industries flourish.

We live by TAFE NSW values: Customer Focus, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence. They define who we are, how we work and inspire our performance.

We invest in our people

At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.

We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs with a variety of flexible working options.

About the Role

As Director Digital Solutions Delivery, you will lead the delivery and operational management of enterprise-wide digital initiatives and platforms that enable TAFE NSW to achieve its strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will oversee the planning and execution of high-profile technology programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for the ongoing operational management of core technology platforms.

This role is accountable for managing and balancing the needs of a portfolio of core technology platforms including Development, Security, Operations and Release (Dev/Sec/Ops), and integrations, and the associated roadmap of enhancements, as well as delivery of complex, multi-year programs that drive digital transformation across the organisation.

Collaboration will be key, as you will engage with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, and external partners to align initiatives with organisational priorities and deliver measurable outcomes. User-centered design will be an essential ingredient to success of each initiative and program. An essential requirement will be responsiveness to business and end-user needs, within the constraints of limited resources.

At the same time, you will provide executive-level reporting, identify and manage risks, and ensure strong governance and financial oversight of significant technology investments. You will play a critical role in enabling TAFE NSW to remain agile, customer-focused, and future-ready.

About You

You are an experienced and holistic digital delivery leader with a track record of successfully overseeing large-scale digital initiatives in complex organisations, from both an operational and delivery perspective. Skilled at managing multi-year portfolios, you excel at balancing strategic oversight with practical execution and are confident navigating high levels of visibility and accountability.

You bring deep expertise in digital management, strong commercial and financial acumen, and the ability to embed governance and assurance at an enterprise level. Influential and collaborative, you are adept at building trust with executives, delivery partners, and stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve results. You bring a holistic set of skills that encompasses everything from Dev/Sec/Ops application development through to integrations and release management. You also demonstrate a strong focus on the end-customer experience and have expertise in human-centered design and best practice delivery.

Your leadership style is inclusive and empowering, fostering high-performing teams that deliver with integrity and customer focus. Experience in large government or education sectors will be highly regarded. This is your opportunity to lead the execution of a transformative portfolio that makes a lasting difference for students, staff, and communities across NSW.
