About the Role
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer supports the Head of Mechanical Engineering and cross-functional teams in New Product Development projects.
The role involves delivering innovative, high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring product specifications, timeliness and commercial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Product development of kitchen appliances from ideation to manufacture.
Design with CAD.
Build and test prototypes.
Conduct validation testing.
Obtain compliance approvals.
Support product manufacture and launch.
Manage initial quality audits on pilot and production builds in collaboration with HK QC and quality departments.
Perform thermal and mechanical simulation modelling using ANSYS and SolidWorks, followed by experimental testing of prototypes.
Qualifications We're Interested in Hearing From
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar tertiary qualification.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role.
Good communicator and team player with a can-do, hands-on attitude.
Hands-on experience in product engineering design, component detailing, drafting / engineering drawing, 3D CAD modelling.
Hands-on experience and practical skills in prototyping and workshop practice.
Some experience in Engineering Measurement Systems and Electrical Laboratory testing.
