Are you ready to make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of our community and the sustainable growth of the City? Reporting to the Manager City Strategy, you’ll focus on urban planning and economic outcomes and be at the forefront of strategic land management, driving initiatives that support sustainable growth and vibrant public spaces.

As Senior Land & Property Officer, your expert advice and leadership will help deliver our Strategic Plan and City Master Plan that will benefit generations to come.

In this important role, you’ll:

- Lead the delivery of initiatives relating to Council land holdings
- Provide expert advice and strategic direction for Council’s land portfolio
- Manage complex processes and stakeholder requests including Unsolicited Proposals, purchase of community land, road openings/closures, creation/discharge of easements and rights of way and strategic land acquisitions
- Ensure Community Land Management Plans are fit for purpose.

About you:

You’re a confident negotiator and relationship builder, with strong knowledge of property, planning or land management. You can navigate legal, contractual and planning matters, while keeping community benefit and sustainability front of mind. Your attention to detail, strategic thinking and ability to engage with stakeholders - from residents to State Government - will ensure success in this dynamic role.

About you

Our ideal candidate will:

Have a tertiary qualification in property management/conveyancing or in a related discipline/field or demonstrated equivalent experience

Have 2+ years experience working in Local Government

Have a South Australian Class C Driver’s Licence

Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.

Salary range is between $107,544 to $114,343 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
