Senior Internal Auditor – Sydney, Australia
A leading media organisation based in Sydney is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its growing risk and governance function. This role offers exposure to a dynamic, fast-moving industry and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand, and globally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality internal audit engagements, strengthening controls, and providing practical, commercial insights to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute internal audit engagements across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
* Plan audits, perform risk assessments, and deliver clear, value-adding reports with practical recommendations.
* Partner with senior stakeholders across the business, communicating findings confidently and effectively.
* Identify control weaknesses and support management in improving processes and governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with a high-performing audit team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in travel assignments across Australia and New Zealand, and attend global forums as required.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum 4+ years' experience in internal or external audit.
* Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
* Background in internal and/or external audit.
* Demonstrated interest in the media, or creative industries.
* Confident engaging with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders.
* Clear, concise, and professional communication skills.
* Strong team player with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
* Australian Passport holders or right to work in Australia. No visa sponsorship required.
